AAP07-Aug-2002CANBERRA – A one-time assistant to former Australian Test cricket coachBob Simpson has been appointed as head coach of the ACT CricketAssociation.David Macpherson played cricket for 25 years in NSW, Victoria andEnglish County and began his coaching career with Manly Warringah inSydney District in 1977.He spent 13 years on the NSW Cricket Association coaching panel and fouryears as the senior development coach and had coaching experience withthe Australian Test and one-day squads as assistant to Simpson.Macpherson was coach of the ACT Comets last year after assisting RodTucker the year before.The ACT lost its national one-day competition representation two yearsago but competes in the national second-level competition.
